To be clear, I don’t think the approach of birth control and raising people out of poverty is an effective strategy for stopping climate change. I say so in the following paragraph. I simply wanted to mention it as an example of how the film could approach the topic of population control that was more nuanced and meaningful than the discussion presented in the film.
